Fossil Fuel Dependence - honest information

The following was added to a 350.org message about tar sands and global climate vulnerability:

 

Mr. President, it is time for you to change the focus of your administration from one that promotes disinformation to one that is open and honest about the crises that face us.  Your use of the 'family' as an analogy for how the Federal Government should function is a lie.  Our government has a piece of my personal sovereignty as the base for its power.  You are insulting me by not recognizing the Constitutional basis for the creation of currency and the maintenance of our common good.  It is time to end the dependence on foreign energy, fossil energy, corporate solutions, and banker dominated policy decisions.  We need the immediate restructuring of the Banking Act of 1935, and the repayment of outstanding debts with US Treasury notes that you release just as President Lincoln did to finance the Civil War.  Then we need to restructure the tax code to tax ALL short term gains at 95%.  Then you can talk about reducing the military budget, the removal of subsidies for fossil fuels, large scale agriculture, etc.  Until this is done we will continue to be forced into a third world nation status.  We need to support strategic regional infrastructure to enable each region to function in the event of the withdrawal of external support.  Then we need a national discussion of the national purpose which is now: "we will defend to the death the right of a few old men to be as rich as possible".  This will end!  Either on your watch or later but it will end!  If you will not act proactively then the rest of us will be driven to do so without you.  You need to act to ask for our support or get out of the way.

It doesn't take a genius to realize that all fossil fuels that are extracted will be burned, hence the governments talk about reducing carbon but actually incentive's its increase! What really makes this article so damming is that the author backs up all his points with references.
